Hi, J. C. Corcoran here; my friends call me Jack. I would like to take a minute to explain why I have become a blogger. It’s quite simple, really.

A few months ago, while I was in my noontime prayer and bible reading, I asked the Lord a simple question…”I’m 79 years old, Lord; I can’t drive; I can barely walk a mile without my cane. What can I do that would please You?”

My Scripture reading that day had a reference to First Chronicles 16:8; so I went there to see what it said. “Give praise to the Lord, proclaim His name, make known among the nations what He has done.”

“Is that Your answer? How in the world am I supposed to do that?” The word “BLOG” just popped into my head and I thought, a blog would, or could, certainly go out to the nations. And God has certainly done things for me that have been simply amazing. So I began the research.

I have written a novel and several praise songs so I suppose I am something of a writer so, why not?

Like David said, God has brought me out of a pit of slime and I will be telling you about that. I will also tell you how He furnished my apartment; and the time He bought me some new socks (Oh yeah). He even sent me a bus when I was stranded downtown.

So, stick with me and learn how I first heard the Master’s voice and have heard it several times since.

  1. I look forward to hearing your stories, Jack! Isn’t it marvelous that we live in an age where we can tell others of the goodness of our Lord, no matter what limitations our bodies put upon us? 🙂
